Tonight by Victory Osas #WarOfWords6
I have been painting it in colours that were not green, coating it with words that were not mine, shades that managed to hide the tears in my eyes. I’m sorry, but I promise, tonight is different.
Tonight, I will cut myself open and let the blood flow freely through my pen. Come, ply pensively through the words of my heart, I left the door ajar.
Come, don’t be shy, look at the good, the bad and the ugly.
At the wounds and insecurities that lay beneath my smile.
At the stares that held much more than admiration, the kisses that hid contempt, the words that managed to mask the green in my eye.
I promise, tonight is different.
I will cut my self open and let the blood flow freely through my pen.
Look at what happened behind closed doors, tales to which I tremble…I fell, flat on my back, flipping head over heels over head for a lover of another.
It is true that I bleed. Shades of green with tints of white, pink and red.
Tonight, I bleed the truth.
